How to Use Ginger Essential Oil


To improve blood circulation and heart health, apply 1 to 2 drops of ginger essential oil on the heart twice a day.

To relieve muscle and joint pain, apply 2 to 3 drops of ginger essential oil twice a day to the pain area.

To boost your mood and courage, add 2 to 3 drops of ginger essential oil to an aromatherapy machine or inhale it twice a day. (Inhalation: 1 drop into palm, fold nose wings with both hands, and breathe deeply through nose for 1 to 2 minutes)

To alleviate nausea, 2-3 drops of incense can be dripped into the aromatherapy machine and sniffed; or 1-2 drops of ginger can be dripped in the gastrointestinal area and smeared until absorbed.

To boost sexual desire, you can apply 2 to 3 drops of ginger oil or 1 to 2 drops of ginger oil to the soles of your feet or lower abdomen.

To help digest and remove toxins, add 2 to 3 drops of ginger essential oil to the bath water and soak in warm water.

To alleviate respiratory diseases, drink two cups of ginger tea a day or add 1 drop of ginger essential oil to green tea.

To treat vomiting, add 1 drop of ginger essential oil to a cup of water or tea and drink slowly.

When cooking, start with a small dose (1-2 drops) and add it to any dish that needs ginger.

Improving liver function

A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry shows that ginger essential oil is effective in the treatment of alcoholic fatty liver, which is closely related to cirrhosis and liver cancer, because of its antioxidant capacity and liver protection.

In the course of treatment, the mice with alcoholic fatty liver disease were treated for four weeks, and the results showed that the treatment had the effect of protecting the liver. After the mice were given alcohol, the metabolite production in the treatment group (taking ginger essential oil group) increased, and then returned to normal level and recovered.

 

Relieving Muscle Pain and Menstrual Pain

Ginger essential oil can relieve menstrual pain, headache, back pain and muscle ache due to its active ingredient, ginger protease. Studies have shown that taking one or two drops of ginger essential oil a day is more effective in treating muscular and joint pain than the pain reliever prescribed by a general practitioner because it reduces inflammation and increases blood circulation.
