Four Major Apple-producing Areas in China
China's apple production has formed four major apple producing areas:
1. Apple-producing Areas in Bohai Bay
The Bohai Bay producing areas include Jiaodong Peninsula, Shandong, Liaoning, Hebei and Beijing and Tianjin. It is an early apple growing area, yield and area, and production level.

The quality of mountain apple is outstanding. The color of apple is bright, the sugar content is high, the flavor is strong and the storage is durable. Mountain apples are unique. At present, the whole country has not formed such a large scale of planting as Shaanxi. The mountainous area of northern Shaanxi is an excellent place to produce organic apples. Luochuan County's apples are preferred. They are listed as apple export base counties by the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Commerce and the National Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, and are known as "the land of apples". In 1974, the apples produced in this county were among 237 samples in the whole country. The four physical and chemical indexes and total scores were higher than those of snake fruit in the United States, and they were awarded the national prize. It has been designated as a special fruit for the 11th Asian Games. When Macao returned in 1999, it was designated as a special apple for celebration and protocol, and a special fruit for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. It is well known at home and abroad.
3. The Old Yellow River and the North Foot of Qinling Mountains
The production areas of the old Yellow River include eastern Henan, southwestern Shandong, northern Jiangsu and Northern Anhui, with low terrain.
Henan Lingbao Apple
Lingbao City, located in the western Henan Province, is a warm temperate continental semi-humid monsoon climate. It has mild climate, distinct seasons, large temperature difference between day and night, abundant sunlight, strong ultraviolet rays, moderate rainfall and high altitude. It belongs to the Loess Plateau hilly area and is one of the suitable apple growing areas. Fruit taste is also high in acidity and sweetness, sweet and delicious, bright color, pure taste, has been exported to Russia, Japan and other dozens of countries and regions.
4. Cold and High Real Estate Areas in Southwest China
The low dimensions of cold and high real estate areas in southwest China include the western Sichuan areas of Aba and Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefectures, Zhaotong and Yiwei areas in northeastern Yunnan, Weining and Bijie areas in northwestern Guizhou, south of Changdu in Tibet and the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River.

When the northern apple is not mature, Zhaotong apple is ripe and listed. Its unique regional advantages also make Zhaotong apple have a broad market share. Zhaotong city is located in the combination of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces. In recent years, Zhaotong Apple has gone abroad again and sold to Hong Kong, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and other countries. The construction of ASEAN Free Trade Area has provided a broad market for Zhaotong Apple sales.
