Ambassador to Somalia attended the Tuna Licensing Ceremony of the Somali Government
On December 11, 2018, the Ambassador to Somalia Mr. Tan attended and delivered a speech at the Tuna License Issuance Ceremony of the Soviet Government. Vice Premier Gullard of Soviet Union, Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Vasami, Minister of Labor Jama and representatives of the World Bank and FAO attended.
Ambassador Tan said that China has a huge market of more than 1.3 billion people and has great potential in coping with changes in the world economic situation. Not long ago, China successfully hosted the first International Import Exposition, and China's opening to the outside world will be wider and wider. China firmly upholds the world multilateral trading system, opposes protectionism and unilateralism, promotes trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and safeguards the development interests and space of developing countries. China actively promotes the "one belt and one way" approach to the 2030 sustainable development agenda, the 2063 agenda for Africa and the development strategies of various countries, so as to promote the steady development of the world economy. I would like to take the Beijing Summit Outcome of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the "Eight Major Actions" as a guide to strengthen cooperation with Africa and contribute to the development of new-type industrialization in Africa. We welcome the export of Somali fishery products to the Chinese market to help Somalia eradicate poverty, improve people's livelihood, develop its economy, enhance its ability to develop independently and achieve lasting peace.
